Reinterpretation of Urban Living: The project redefines standard multi-apartment typology by blending sculpture with residential functionality. It honors the strict traditions of modernism while embracing the sensory, contextual freedom of postmodern design.

The Kladivar Villa in Celje reinterprets the typology of urban housing through a dialogue of two architectural languages. The apartment building is designed on a dualism between a plastically articulated base and a rational volume of residential floors.
The ground floor, designed with a postmodern sensibility for space, responds with its irregular geometry to the immediate context of the city street and creates an expressive entrance ambience.
In contrast, the upper floors follow a strict modernist logic; the clean lines and repetitive rhythm of the window openings ensure timeless aesthetic discipline and functional clarity. This contrast between the 'expressive' base and the 'rational' crown creates a contemporary object that respects the tradition of modernism, while at the same time recognizing the need for a sculptural presence in the urban fabric.
